ROCHESTER – Artists from across the United States are invited to apply for spaces at the 2021 M&T Bank Clothesline Festival, a juried fine arts festival presented by the Memorial Art Gallery that showcases more than 400 artists.

MAG, which switched the 2020 festival to a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, plans to again welcome visitors to the museum grounds on Sept. 11 and 12.

A downloadable application is available at the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival website, https://mag.rochester.edu/events/clothesline-festival/. The application deadline is March 31. If spaces remain after the deadline, applications will still be accepted but location requests cannot be guaranteed.

For more information, call the Memorial Art Gallery events office at (585) 276-8949, or email clothesline@mag.rochester.edu.

The Clothesline Festival is Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine arts festival. Originating as a New York State only artist festival, Clothesline has expanded in recent years to welcome artists from across the country. It’s now the place to experience all-day live entertainment, sample food from some of Rochester’s favorite vendors, enjoy free family art activities, visit the museum, and of course, browse and buy original artwork throughout the grounds.

Each year sees the addition of more festivals, but Clothesline remains a favorite with artists. Because MAG charges a $5 admission fee and screens the work of the exhibitors, serious shoppers are more in evidence than at other festivals.

Please visit mag.rochester.edu for the most up-to-date information about plans for the event.
