GENESEO – Competitive chicken wing-eating contest will be on the menu Sept. 11 when the Geneseo Riviera, 4 Center St., hosts the Geneseo Chicken Wing Festival.
Those attending will be able to sample chicken wings from local restaurants, chicken wing pizza or locally-made desserts. There will also be several different contests with prizes, including eating volcano wings, bobbing for wings and speed-eating contests.
Guests will be entertained with music.
The festival is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m.
General admission is $10 and includes sampling all wing vendors. Tickets are available online from brownpapertickets.com.
Local business owner Don Livingston has continued a chicken wing festival in Geneseo since 2019 after the original festival was canceled that year. The festival had begun in 2014.
Livingston continued the popular chicken-wing eating contest and added new wrinkles such as additional eating competitions.
