Elizabeth Paige Staerr of Varysburg and Lcpl. Jason Nicholas Mest of Strykersville were united in marriage Oct. 11, 2014 at St. John Neuman RCC in Sheldon. Father Matt Zurnheld and Rev. Charles Williman performed the ceremony for the daughter of Tracy Staerr of Varysburg and the son of Cheryl and Earl Mest of Strykersville.
Rebecca Caldwell of Easton, Md., Godmother of the bride was the maid of honor. Bradley Mest of Strykersville, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Bridesmaids were Chelsey Downs of Attica and Christina Keicher of Attica, cousin of the bridegroom. Breanna Mest of Strykersville, sister of the bridegroom and Kathleen Nolan were junior bridesmaids. Oliva Miles from Buffalo was flower girl.
Groomsmen were Craig Mest of Strykersville, brother of the bridegroom and Daniel Mest of Strykersville, brother of the bridegroom. Jack Miles of Buffalo was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at St. John Neuman’s Weber Hall, where out-of-state guests attended from Ohio, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and Michigan.
The bride is 2011 graduate of Attica Central School and a 2014 Graduate from Genesee Community College with a degree in hospitality and tourism management. She was a accommodations supervisor at Darien Lake.
The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of Attica Central School and is currently serving our country in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville, N.C. where the couple currently resides.
