Three area residents earn promotions

LATHAM — Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard. The promotions were announced in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

They include:

n Eric Hubbard of Bergen, assigned to the 222nd Military Police Company, received a promotion to the rank of private first class.

n Kelvin Paulsen of Arcade, and assigned to the Combat Engineer Company B, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of sergeant.

n Tingfeng Burke from Lyndonville, assigned to the Troop B, 2-101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition), received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.

These promotions and all Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
