ELBA - State police have identified the suspect in Wednesday’s stabbing in an Oliver's Candies factory behind Sweet Life Country Store on Route 98.
Colleen L. Nelson, 49, of the town of Alabama, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said Nelson came up from behind another employee and began to stab him with a large knife.
The man, 59, was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was not identified.
Nelson was arraigned and committed to jail without bail.
Police did not give any details as to why Nelson allegedly stabbed her co-worker.
