MEDINA — Another COVID-19 related death was reported Monday at Orchard Manor.
The death was reported as all of the GLOW counties reported new cases.
Of the two new cases reported in Orleans County, one was at Orchard Manor, bringing the county’s overall total up to 266. The other Barre resident, and neither of the two new case were in mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive. The new cases were described in their 20s and 60s.
Of the total active cases, 10 are hospitalized.
Orchard Manor has 58 cases and 23 deaths, for a mortality rate of 39.65 percent. The Villages of Orleans Health and Rehab in Albion has 89 cases and 30 deaths, for a mortality rate of 33.7 percent.
To date, Orleans County has had 4,845 negative tests. The community has two people under mandatory isolation; 14 people in the community under mandatory quarantine; 54 total deaths; and 111 community recoveries.
Genesee County reported three new cases for an overall total of 224. Two of the new positive cases were residents of Batavia and one was a resident of Le Roy, with their ages including people in their 20s, 40s and 50s. None of the new cases were in mandatory quarantine prior to testing positive.
To date, Genesee County has had 8,687 negative tests. The community has six people under mandatory isolation; 46 people in the community under mandatory quarantine; five total deaths and 159 community recoveries.
Two new coronavirus cases were reported over the weekend, while the number of people in mandatory has tripled since June 22.
The county’s overall total increased to 89 as of Monday, while the number of recoveries increased to 83. The county has one active case, with 27 people listed in mandatory quarantine.
Wyoming County’s current statistics include:
n A total of 31 cases have been confirmed in the northwest quadrant that includes Attica, Bennington, Orangeville and Sheldon. Two have been attributed to Attica Correctional Facility and 30 have recovered.
n Twenty-five cases have been confirmed in the northeast quadrant that includes Warsaw, Perry, Middlebury and Covington. Twenty of those have recovered and five have died.
n Fifteen cases have been confirmed in the southeast quadrant that includes Castile, Gainesville, Genesee Falls and Pike. All 15 have recovered.
n Eighteen cases have been confirmed in the southwest that includes Arcade, Eagle, Java and Wethersfield. All 18
The age breakdown included 20 people in their 20s; 16 people in their 40s; 15 people in their 60s; 14 people in their 50s; nine people in their 70s; eight people in their 30s; three people in their 80s; two people less than 20 years old; and two people in their 90s.
The county has had 5,292 negative tests.
Two new COVID-19 cases were reported Monday in Dansville, according to the Livingston County Department of Health.
The county, which marked a milestone of clearing all its cases as of this past Friday, now has two active cases. Its overall total has increased to 126, with 116 recoveries and eight deaths.
A total of 8,314 people have tested negative.
