WARSAW — Preliminary work for a highway maintenance project was approved Nov. 10 by the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors.

Supervisors approved a $42,000 contract with Clark Patterson Lee of Rochester. The work will involve scoping, preliminary engineering and detail design for preventative maintenance on Exchange Street in the town of Attica.

The agreement is effective through the project’s completion.

The contract was among two highway-related resolutions approved by the supervisors at their regular monthly meeting.

The second resolution amended an existing contract with Oak Grove Construction of Elma for replacement of the Wiscoy Creek bridge over Hillside Road in Eagle.

The cost was originally not to exceed $1,093,226.50 in the contract approved this past February. As amended, the cost may now not exceed $1,126,856.57.

In other action:

n Harold Bush of Gainesville and James Schlick of Bennington were reappointed as the county’s Democratic and Republican election commissioners respectively. Each appointment is effective through Dec. 31, 2022.

n Janis Cook of Warsaw was reappointed to a one-year term as county auditor. The appointment is effective through Dec. 31, 2021.

n Supervisors approved the purchase of a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe on behalf of the county’s Emergency Services department.

The agreement is with Joe Basil Chevrolet, Inc. of Depew. Cost is not to exceed $36,180.86 and is contingent on the availability of funds.
