Gasoline price rising across region
BATAVIA — Average gasoline prides increased last week across the Western New York region.
Average price per gallon was $2.22 in Batavia, according to AAA. That marks a 3 cent increase compared to the week before.
Average price in Buffalo increased by 2 cents to $2.19 per gallon, while Rochester’s prices increased by 3 cents to $2.24 per gallon.
The average price in Syracuse increased by 5 cents to $2.19 per gallon.
The national average price for a gallon of gas has inched up four cents in the past month, but it is 42 cents lower than last year at this time.
The national average price for a gallon of gasoline was $2.16, up three cents from one week ago. One year ago, the price was $2.58. The New York State average is $2.25.
