Holley brothers bring oil changes

HOLLEY — When it comes to Mobile Oil Change, you don’t need to come to them.

They come to you.

Owned and operated by brothers Matt and Richard Butler, Matt said the idea originated back in December when he needed an oil change for his truck.

“I owned a business at that point, which I recently shut down ... and between the business and having a young child, my time was pretty scarce,” he said. “I was like, ‘Somebody has to come to me. We are in a world of convenience. The mobile thing has to exist.’”

Spending the next couple days researching, Matt learned nothing of its kind existed in New York but the concept was popular in the southern states. He brought it to Richard’s attention and they decided to start the business, officially opening in June.

While the price for an oil change is a bit more expensive than a mechanic shop where you can bring your car to, Mobile Oil Change allows more time and freedom for the customer, who doesn’t need to go anywhere.

“We’re giving people some of their time back,” Matt said.

In addition to changing their oil, Mobile Oil Change checks the car’s fluids and tops them off if necessary, checks tire pressures and fills the tires if needed.

While there is no set service area, Mobile Oil Change will go to locations anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour away from Brockport, focusing mainly on Orleans and Monroe counties, as well as parts of Genesee.

Their hours are between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit www.mocsoil.com or call (585) 478-5310.
