Chamber honors Wyoming businesses

Representatives from six Wyoming County businesses gather at the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism’s annual awards dinner.

VARYSBURG — The Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Promotion Agency hosted its annual awards reception Thursday at Byrncliff Golf Resort and Banquets.

The Chamber presented awards for Large, Small, Agri-Business, Tourism Attraction, Tourism Business, and Most Promising New Business of the year.

The Chamber invited the public to nominate businesses, and the Board of Directors voted on the finalists based a number of great nominations in each category. Awardees were nominated and selected based on criteria that included their contributions to the economic vitality and quality of life of Wyoming County; capital investments; business expansions; job growth and retention; community involvement; and their contributions that strengthen their particular business sector in Wyoming County.

Those honored Thursday included:

n Large Business of the Year — JN White in Perry.

n Small Business of the Year — Vertical Café in Warsaw.

n Agri-Business of the Year — Green’s Hoof Trimming in Warsaw.

n Tourism Attraction of the Year — The Apple-Umpkin Festival in Wyoming.

n Tourism Business of the Year — The Castile Cider Mill in Castile.

n Most Promising New Business of the Year — Endlessly Outdoors Company in Perry.
