MEDINA - Gunfire erupted at a house party late Friday night, with at least two cars being hit with bullets, but no reports of anyone injured, village Chief Chad Kenward said.
Officer Mark Prawel was called to the 300 block of West Avenue about 11;30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Kenward said there was a large gathering at a house party and an investigation revealed that an argument ensued and carried over into the St. Mary’s Church parking lot.
That’s where a man fired a handgun into the air numerous times. At least two cars parked at the party were hit by bullets.
Kenward said numerous shell casings and mangled bullets were recovered. The shooter has not been located.
State police and Orleans sheriff’s deputies assisted.
