BATAVIA — The town of Batavia said it renewed a state of emergency effective at 6 p.m. Monday.

The state of emergency had been declared due to the continuing federal, state, county, and city of Batavia states of emergency related to COVID-19. This situation threatens the public safety, the town said.

This state of emergency will remain in effect for thirty (30) days or until rescinded by a subsequent order.
