ATTICA — A portion of Exchange Street will be closed next week as the village’s Department of Public Works conduct water system maintenance.
The street will be closed from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 5 p.m. Thursday.
Crews will be installing several water valves the village’s primary water main in order to isolate a water main break. Residents from the railroad tracks on Exchange Street to the water plant on Dunbar will be without water from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Due to its elevation, Colony Run will experience very low water pressure.
Most other areas of the Village may not have any noticeable disruption of service.
Along with the low pressure water customers may see a discoloration in the water due to the disturbance. Notices will be sent to residents on Exchange Street and Colony Run.
