A Batavia man wanted on an indictment warrant for dealing drugs was found in possession of numerous drugs when he was arrested Friday, Genesee County Drug Task Force agents said.
Joseph Allen Dean, 37, of Stringham Drive was wanted on a warrant charging him with two counts each of third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. Agents said he had been dealing cocaine in and around the city.
When Dean was arrested, police found him in possession of cocaine and other controlled substances.
He now faces additional charges of two counts of third-degree possession with intent to sell, fifth-degree possession with intent to sell and two counts of misdemeanor possession.
Dean was arraigned on both county and city courts and released. He is to appear back in court Dec. 7.
