WARSAW — Two people from Batavia face felony drugs charges after drugs were found in their car during a traffic stop two Sundays ago, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies stopped the car for traffic violations on Route 19 and found the driver, Kevin Jackson Jr., 30, showing “signs consistent with drug impairment.”
Jackson failed road sobriety tests and a drug recognition expert determined he was impaired.
Deputies found methamphetamine in the car, along with packaging and drug paraphernalia.
Jackson was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
A passenger in his car, Briana S. Green, 23, was charged with third-degree criminal possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Both are to appear at a later date in Town Court.
