BATAVIA – A city man was charged with felony grand larceny after an investigation alleged he stole thousands of dollars worth of items from Home Depot, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Giuseppe G. Fiannaca, 33, of Orleans Avenue was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony punishable by up to seven years in prison.
Deputies said Fiannaca stole items from Aug. 1 to Oct. 12. He was arraigned and released to appear Dec. 13 in Town Court.
BATAVIA – A homeless woman faces numerous drug charges after she entered Genesee County Jail with a quantity of controlled substances Saturday, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Beth Ann Jeffres, 40, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell and first-degree promoting prison contraband.
Jeffres was arraigned and committed to Genesee County Jail.
ALABAMA – Summer R. Sewar, 29, of Oakfield was charged with driving while impaired by drugs after deputies responded to a “check the welfare” report on Judge Road Aug. 24.
Sewar was charged after test results came back positive for drugs. She is to appear Dec. 12 in Town Court.
BATAVIA – Domingo Cardenas, 29, of Pearl Street was charged with DWI after he was stopped in Batavia after an investigation into a domestic incident in Elba Nov. 24, Genesee deputies said.
He is to appear Dec. 14 in Town Court.
ARCADE – Lacie J. Turgeon, 35, of Colden was charged with DWI after she was stopped for speeding 45 in a 30 mph zone on West Main Street Nov. 23, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
She also was charged with open container.
