BATAVIA – William A. Nicholas, 28, of Medina was charged with promoting prison contraband after he was found with contraband while in Genesee County Jail Tuesday, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
He is to appear Oct. 19 in City Court.
PEMBROKE – Mary G. Vaughan, 25, of East Amherst was charged with DWI after she drove into a guardrail at 1 a.m. Saturday on Main Road, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
She also was charged with moving from a lane unsafely.
ALEXANDER – Colleen B. Gill, 51, of Spring Road was charged with felony DWI after she was stopped for driving too slow and impeding traffic on Main Street Monday afternoon, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Gill was stopped at 6 p.m. and also was charged with felony aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent, operating without a court-ordered Interlock device, aggravated unlicensed operation, driving to the left of pavement markings, driving too slow and failure to signal.
GAINESVILLE – Judy A. Foote, 71, of Gainesville was charged with felony DWI after she was seen driving into the opposite lane of traffic on School Road on Sept. 29, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
She also was charged with failure to keep right.
ARCADE – A report of a burglary in progress led to charges against a Franklinville man Sept. 24, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies were called to a location on Southview Drive and found Philip Lewis, 28, at a residence without permission.
Lewis was found to be high on drugs, deputies said.
He was charged with third-degree burglary, driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal use of drug paraphernalia. criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny.
He was committed to jail pending an appearance in Town Court.
WARSAW – Holden W. Byer, 30, of Warsaw was charged with menacing another person, state police said.
He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
SHELDON – Mark A. Fugle, 50, of Varysburg was charged with DWI after he was stopped for weaving on Route 98 Monday, state police said.
He also was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent.
