PERRY — A Bronx man is facing charges after a DWI crackdown traffic stop on Route 20A, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.

Boubacar Sow, 23, was stopped for speeding, said Sgt. Colin Reagan. A burned marijuana odor was then allegedly detected from within the vehicle.

A search of Sow’s vehicle led to the discovery of cannabis, smoking paraphernalia, and a stolen New York State license plate, deputies said.

Sow was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, driving while ability impaired by drugs, operating while registration suspended, consumption of cannabis in motor vehicle, speeding, and a non-transparent windshield violation.

He is to appear Sept. 15 in Town Court.

State police assisted at the scene.
