Repeat offender gets contempt charge
BATAVIA — A city man with an extensive history of domestic violence and other arrests was jailed Wednesday after he allegedly violated an order of protection.
Brandon C. Dodd, 34, was charged with criminal contempt of court and was committed to Genesee County Jail with bail set at $4,000.
Dodd still has pending felony charges from an arrested in November where stole from a residence and took a car without permission.
Dodd has a long criminal history, with about 20 arrests since he was 18.
He served one state prison term, for a 2010 burglary conviction where he was sentenced to five years.
While on parole after his release, Dodd was arrested after he removed a GPS bracelet and going to a woman’s house in Le Roy and attacking her.
The woman fought back and stabbed Dodd in the stomach. She was not charged. Dodd was later returned to prison for violating parole.
