KNOWLESVILLE — A convicted sex offender has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child, Orleans County sheriff’s investigators said.
Jason Raiser, 41, of 12633 Presbyterian St. was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest came after Child Protective Services filed a report alleging that Raiser may have sexually assaulted a child under 14 years old in May.
Raiser was charged Aug. 4 and was committed to Orleans County Jail with bail set at $5,000.
Raiser is a Level 2 offender on the New York State Sex Offender registry.
