Varysburg man gets felony weapons charge
SHELDON — A Varysburg man who served time in an Indiana prison was arrested on a felony weapons charged after an investigation into a domestic violence complaint Sunday, Wyoming County sheriff’s investigators said.
Deputies were called to a house on Route 20A and arrested Dwayne A. Goble, 39.
Goble allegedly used a knife to threaten a woman and punched a hole in a bedroom wall.
He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The felony weapons charge was filed because Goble is a convicted felon.
He served prison time in Indiana in 2017 for failure to pay child support.
He was committed to Wyoming County Jail without bail.
An order of protection was issued for the victim.
