The incident began Friday when deputies were called to Byrne Dairy on Route 31 in Sweden, just east of Brockport, for a report of a car theft.

Taylor, in a car stolen car from Medina, crashed in front of Byrne Dairy, walked to the parking lot and stole another car.

Deputies said the owner attempted to stop him and was dragged a short distance, suffering injuries.

Taylor fled the area but crashed in the city of Rochester. He ran from the crash, prompting a K9 unit to be brought in. Taylor was not found until Sunday at a unspecified location.

Taylor was arraigned and committed to Monroe County Jail with bail set at $20,000.

Medina Police Chief Chad Kenward said the case is being investigated and Taylor is likely to face charges in Medina.
