BYRON — A Rochester man faces drugged-driving charges after a traffic stop on Townline Road Sunday afternoon, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

Abdi A. Abdi, 21, was stopped at 3:49 p.m. and found in possession of crack cocaine, deputies said. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Abdi is to appear May 3 in Town Court.

BATAVIA — Thomas J. Leonard, 37, of Main Street was charged with petit larceny for stealing $44 worth of items from Walmart Friday, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He is to appear June 15 in Town Court.

ALABAMA — James J. Gabrys, 29, of Gasport was charged with drug possession early Thursday morning, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

BYRON — Tricia M. Blatt, 34, of East Main Street was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for allegedly stealing a cell phone worth more than $1,000 from another person, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

She also was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation and driving an unregistered vehicle.

BATAVIA — Mark F. Kurzanski, 58, of Lancaster was charged with felony criminal contempt of court for violating an order of protection, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He is to appear June 2 in Town Court.

RIDGEWAY — Gerald A. Mattison, 28, of Oakfield was charged with DWI after he was stopped at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

He also was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent, criminal mischief and aggravated unlicensed operation.

BERGEN — Adam M. Yungfleisch, 32, of Batavia was charged with DWI after he was stopped at 5 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

He also was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

ORANGEVILLE — Nathan V. Prisella, 21, of Corning was charged with felony driving while impaired by drugs after he was stopped at 11 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

SHELDON — Tyler D. Petroski, 30, of Depew was charged with DWI after he was stopped at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

He also was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent.

BENNINGTON — Joshua A. Glenn, 20, of Attica was charged with driving while impaired by drugs after he was stopped at 8 p.m. Sunday, state police said. He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

BATAVIA — Christopher Weigman, 32, of Batavia was charged with petit larceny for shoplifting, city police said.
