BATAVIA — A Covington woman has been charged with second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Beth Ann Jeffres, 40, of Pavilion Warsaw Road provided a false supporting deposition on March 21, deputies said. She then allegedly provided another deposition on April 7 recanting her original statement.
Jeffres was scheduled to appear April 14 in City Court.
CASTILE — A Silver Lake man is facing felony charges after he was caught driving 102 mph Saturday on Route 39, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Investigation revealed Benjamin M. Torres, 35, was intoxicated and driving with a revoked license, deputies said. He was charged with felony DWI, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving without an ignition interlock device, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Torres was released on his own recognizance and is to appear April 25 in Town Court.
ARCADE — A Cattaraugus County man was charged Sunday after a traffic stop on Route 39, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said. Randy J. Ring, 25, of West Valley was found to be impaired by a stimulant, said Deputy Vaughn Collingridge. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by dugs, inadequate headlights, and an inadequate muffler violation.
Ring is to appear April 28 in Town Court.
ALABAMA — An Alexander man was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Jordan A. Brown, 20, damaged another person’s property, deputies aid. He is to appear May 3 in Town Court.
