BATAVIA — A city woman faces felony charges after a Social Services investigation revealed she received more than $6,000 in benefits by fraud, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

Brooke K. Tubbins, 40, of Ellicott Street was charged with third-degree grand larceny and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.

SS Investigator Robert Riggi said Tubbins failed to report income on applications for SNAP benefits and received $6,215 she was not entitled to.

She is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

BETHANY — Teresa M. Stephenson, 31, of Batavia was charged with DWI after she was stopped on Bethany Center Road about 3 a.m. Aug. 6, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

She was stopped after a complaint at Rolling Hills Asylum.

She is to appear Aug. 25 in Town Court.

TONAWANDA SENECA NATION — Ray Saile, 19, of Judge Road was charged with criminal contempt of court after he violated an order of protection Tuesday, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He was committed to Genesee County Jail with bail set at $2,500.

MURRAY — Jordan R. Herring, 23, of Holley was charged with criminal contempt of court for violating an order of protection, state police said.

He was committed to Orleans County Jail.

BATAVIA — Two people were charged with felony second-degree assault with a weapon early Wednesday morning, state police said.

William G. Horner, 70, was committed to Genesee County Jail after he was charged with second-degree assault with a weapon.

Wendy L. Henry, 36, was charged with felony assault on a person age 65 or older. She was released.

State police did not divulge any other details.

WARSAW — Robi L. Terziani, 26, of Perry was charged with DWI by drugs after he was stopped at 1:42 p.m. Monday, state police said.

He also was charged with DWI by a combination of drugs and is to appear at a later date in Village Court.

STAFFORD — An Elba woman who drove into a house late the night of Aug. 7 has been charged with DWI, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

Pamela L. Palaszynski, 35, of Bank Street Road was driving on Batavia-Stafford Townline Road just before midnight when she went off the road and hit a house.

She was charged with DWI, moving from a lane unsafely and speed not reasonable.

BATAVIA — Lyndsay T. Young, 38, of State Street was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing $206.03 worth of items from Walmart, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

She is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

ALBION — Joseph Omay, 60, of Brockport was charged with felony DWI after he was stopped at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

He also was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation.

BYRON — Jessica R. Parker-Sharkey, 28, of Rochester faces charges after a traffic stop at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

She was charged with criminal impersonation, criminal possession of a controlled substance and having a suspended registration
