BATAVIA — A Livingston County woman was arrested and charged with desecrating a cemetery, city police said.

Police received a call about a woman acting suspiciously at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Aug. 17.

Police arrived and found Cassandra F. Smith, 35, of Piffard.

She was inside her car and an investigation revealed she had stolen numerous items from gravesites, including statues, planters and flags.

She was charged with second-degree cemetery desecration. Anyone missing items from graves can contact cemetery staff.

BATAVIA — City police charged the following people during the past two weeks:

n Jeremiah Williams, 30, of Oak Street was arrested on multiple warrants for failing to appear in court.

n Rosemary Waters, 35, of Batavia was charged on a warrant with failure to appear in court.

n Germayne Session, 27, of Rochester was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief for breaking a van window.

n Thomas Tacito, 61, of North Spruce Street was charged on six warrants with failure to appear in court.

n Tyler Gorski, 19, of Bank Street was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment and harassment after a domestic violence incident.

n Jordin Schultz, 23, of State Street was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, harassment and criminal mischief after a domestic violence incident.

n Tarah Mruczek, 34, of Tracy Avenue was charged with harassment for hitting a person.

n Drew Fortes-Crimes, 23, of Ellicott Street was charged with felony criminal mischief and harassment after a disturbance at a business on Harvester Avenue.

n Mark Farley, 53, of Oak Street was charged with criminal contempt of court for violating an order of protection.

ALEXANDER — Michael Q. Kaney, 38, of Batavia was charged with DWI after he was found parked off Route 98 early Saturday morning, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He also was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent.

BERGEN — Kyle A. Hawley, 31, of Spring Street was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly overdosed on drugs in front of a child under 17 early Friday morning, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He was given Narcan and taken to a hospital.

BATAVIA — Gabriel O. Johnston, 19, of Pembroke was charged with DWI after an investigation into a stop on July 18, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He also was charged with moving from a lane unsafely.

LE ROY — Richard A. Augugliaro, 53, of Mumford was charged with grand larceny for stealing a wallet, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He is to appear Sept. 7 in Town Court.

PERRY — Adam P. Valentine, 42, of Perry was charged with harassment and criminal contempt of court, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said. He allegedly pushed a woman and shouted obscenities at her, violating an order of protection.

PERRY — Alexis Knights, 46, of Hyde Park, Mass. was charged with driving while impaired by drugs, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said. She also was charged with speeding and consuming marijuana in a car.

BATAVIA — Michael W. Flint, 22, of Mount Morris was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance for having heroin, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He was charged after deputies served a violation of probation warrant. He is to appear Sept. 7 in Town Court.

BATAVIA — Corey A. Knapp, 19, of Medina was charged with misdemeanor drug possession after he was found with cocaine and fentanyl in the back seat of a car during a traffic stop, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

ALBION — Tammy L. Kozub, 50, of Akron was charged with promoting prison contraband and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, state police said.

She is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

CARLTON — Linda M. Diana, 61, of Rochester was charged with DWI after she was stopped at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

She also was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

COVINGTON — Michael D. Pacer, 34, of Le Roy was charged with felony DWI after he was stopped at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 18, state police said. He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
