BATAVIA — Social Services investigators charged two people with receiving public assistance they were not entitled to, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Jason W. Doohan, 37, of Jerome Place was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
Investigator Robert Riggi said Doohan failed to report income from scapping metal and received $1,464 in assistance.
Corrine E. Navarra, 39, of Mill Street, Le Roy was charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree welfare fraud.
Riggi said Navarra failed to report income and received $3,840 in SNAP benefits.
BERGEN — James E. Ruffell, 41, of Webster was charged on a warrant with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
STAFFORD — A Rochester man faces a felony for driving with 27 total suspensions on his license, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Shaun M. Dukes, 39, was stopped on Route 33 and charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered and uninspected motor vehicle.
BATAVIA — Cameron J. Sokolowski, 28, of River Street was charged with petit larceny for stealing from a store on Veterans Memorial Drive, Genesee County deputies said. He is to appear March 11 in Town Court.
DARIEN — Myles D. Macleod, 33, of Corfu was charged with felony DWI after an investigation into a motorcycle crash in November, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Macleod also was charged with felony aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, circumventing a court-ordered Interlock device, refusing a breath test, speed not reasonable and operating an unregistered motorcycle.
Macleod was injured after he crashed on Route 77 on Nov. 27. He is to appear April 6 in Town Court.
BATAVIA — Jason L. Jones, 49, of Brooktondale, was charged on a warrant with two felonies for allegedly hitting a woman with his car during a domestic incident in December, city police said.
Jones was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree assault, trespassing and no registration.
He is accused of hitting the woman with his car while on Dewey Avenue Dec. 16.
Jones was jailed with bail set at $2,000.
BATAVIA — Brandon C. Smart, 43, of Highland Parkway was charged after an investigation into a domestic dispute at a Liberty Street apartment, city police said. Smart is charged with harassment, criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.
BATAVIA — Alexander L. Baldwin, 32, of East Main Street was charged with third-degree grand larceny for failing to do a construction job after he had been paid, city police said.
He is to appear April 15 in City Court.
BATAVIA — Randy L. Ridd, 63, of Williams Street was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing detergent pods from Family Dollar, city police said.
He is to appear April 27 in City Court.
BATAVIA — Benjamin H. Lucas, 69, was charged with forcible touching after he inappropriately touched an employee at Premier Genesee nursing home, city police said.
He is to appear at a later date in City Court.
SHELDON — Dare I. Eke, 25, of Buffalo was charged with driving while impaired by drugs after he was stopped on Route 20A Friday, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
He was found with a bag of marijuana in the car and was examined by a drug recognition expert, who determined he was high while driving.
Eke also was charged with speeding, unlawful window tint and unlawful possession of marijuana.
STAFFORD — Tyler J. Busch, 27, of Corfu was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol after he was stopped at 1 p.m. Feb. 10, state police said.
He also was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.
