BYRON — Summerfield M. Compson, 24, of Holley was charged with DWI and reckless driving after being stopped at 9 p.m. June 13, state police said.
Compson is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
ALBION — Megan L. Callan, 36, Murray was charged with welfare fraud and felony offering a false instrument for filing for bilking Social Services, state police said.
She is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
RIDGEWAY — Shante L. Hollins, 41, of Medina was charged with third-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for having a stolen credit card, state police said.
She is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
PERRY — Thomas J. Bellanca, 36, of Dansville was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI after he was stopped at 8 p.m. June 16, state police said.
He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
BERGEN — A former Le Roy man was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, state police said.
Joseph S. May, 51, now of Rochester was charged Tuesday after an investigation into a complaint filed in May.
May was arraigned in Town Court and released to appear at a later date. No other details were provided.
LE ROY — Lauren K. Pellegrino, 40, of West Main Street was charged with third-degree assault and third-degree menacing, village police said.
Police said she was charged after a fight with her boyfriend Monday. She was arraigned and released to appear at a later date in Town Court.
LE ROY — Peter J. Vangalio, 49, of Genesee Street was charged with criminal contempt of court for violating an order of protection, village police said.
He is to appear July 5 in Town Court.
BATAVIA — Dontaya N. Kyles, 30, of Greece was charged with third-degree grand larceny and stealing more than $3,000 worth of items from a store on Veterans Memorial Drive, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Kyles is to appear Aug. 8 in Town Court.
BATAVIA — A Massachusetts man was charged June 20 after a traffic stop on West Main Street Road, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Brian J. Crawford, 48, of Methuen was charged with DWI and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more. He is to appear July 7 in Town Court.
BATAVIA — Marvin K. Barber Jr. is facing several charges after a June 22 incident, city police said.
Officers were called to a physical domestic dispute in which the suspect fled the scene. Barber turned himself in to police after they investigated and made contact with him.
Barber, 37, of Lackawanna was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree grand larceny. He is to appear in court at a later date.
BATAVIA — Don McGill Jr. was charged June 19 after a traffic stop, city police said.
McGill, 37, of Batavia was charged with DWI, resisting arrest and using a mobile phone while driving. He is to appear in court at a later date.
BATAVIA — A city woman was charged June 15 after she allegedly damaged an apartment on Holland Avenue, city police said.
Ledaga K. Wright, 31, was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal tampering, city police said. She is to appear July 12 in City Court.
BATAVIA — A city man was recently charged in connection with two separate incidents.
Andrew J. Draper, 43, of Batavia was found to be driving May 14 on Ellicott Street while impaired by crack cocaine, city police said. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and is to appear in City Court at a later date.
In a separate incident, Draper allegedly struck a person during a domestic incident, in violation of an order of protection.
Draper was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. He is to appear in City Court at a later date.
BATAVIA — A man was taken into custody June 17 on a bench warrant, city police said.
Michael J. Hilton, 31, of no permanent address was committed to Genesee County Jail. He is to appear July 7 in City Court.
BATAVIA — A Batavia man was charged June 17 after damaging items at a supermarket, city police said.
Daniel R. Yates, 52, of Batavia was charged with third-degree criminal tampering and criminal mischief, police said. He was set to appear June 28 in City Court.
BATAVIA — Maurice D. Bishop was recently taken into custody on a warrant, city police said.
Bishop, 36, of Rochester was involved in an Oct. 12, 2021 incident, police said. He is to appear July 7 in City Court.
An order of protection was issued.
PERRY — A Castile man was charged Friday after a traffic stop, Perry police said.
Theodore J. Groves, 25, was stopped for traffic violations, police said. He then allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
Groves was charged with DWI and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more. He is to appear Aug. 2 in Village Court.
BARRE — Joshua A. Grosskopf was charged June 23 with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, state police said.
Grosskopf, 31, of Albion was found to be in possession of a catalytic converter stolen from a truck, troopers said. He allegedly sold the converter to a scrapyard.
Grosskopf is to appear in Town Court at a later date.
BATAVIA — Andrew J. Draper was charged Sunday with petit larceny, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
Draper, 43, of Batavia, stole from Walmart, deputies said. He is to appear July 6 in Town Court.
