JAVA — An Arcade man faces charges after an investigation into a reported overdose on Chaffee Road Friday, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies were called to Chaffee Road just west of Route 98 for a report someone may have overdosed on “edibles,” Deputy Amy Nowak said.
North Java Ambulance also was called to the scene.
The caller, Christopher A. Darling, 21, of Arcade was checked at the scene and signed off on any additional treatment, Nowak said.
He was taken to Arcade Police Department, where a drug recognition expert determined he was under the influence of drugs.
Darling was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
CASTILE — Sarah E. Sellers, 36, of Silver Springs was charged with DWI after she crashed her car on a curve at Barber and West Park roads Saturday, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputy Amy Nowak said Sellers went off the road and hit a rock wall and multiple trees. She was not injured but her car was heavily damaged.
Sellers had a blood alcohol content of 0.26 percent, more than three times the legal limit.
She was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, refusing to take a breath test and drinking in a car.
COVINGTON — Derick S. Forsyth, 40, of Wyoming was charged with DWI after he crashed his car on Lamb Road Friday, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
Forsyth’s 2020 Hyundai went off the road, slammed into a utility pole and went down an embankment, Sgt. Colin Reagan said.
He was charged with DWI and moving from a lane unsafely.
ORANGEVILLE — Jennifer T. Young, 56, of Orangeville and Castile, was charged with attempted third-degree assault and menacing after an investigation into a domestic violence complaint Sunday, Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies said.
She is accused of punching, kicking and threatening to kill another person.
STAFFORD — Erica L. Lamkin, 31, of Pavilion was charged with DWI after she was stopped for speeding on Route 5 late Saturday night, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
She is to appear April 15 in Town Court.
PEMBROKE — Steven G. Conway, 60, of Williamsville was charged with DWI after he was stopped for impeding traffic at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Route 5, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
He also was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than .18 percent and no seat belt.
