BATAVIA — A city woman faces charges after she allegedly shoplifted with her two children with her at the time, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

A day later she was back at the store and charged with trespassing.

Deputies were called to Walmart Friday and found Tia E. Schmeider, 29, in the parking lot with stolen items.

Two children, 11 and 18 months were with her, deputies said.

She was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child was banned from Walmart.

The next day, deputies found Schmeider at Walmart and charged her with criminal trespassing.

BERGEN — Stephen R. Hart, 34, of Batavia was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop on Route 33 Sunday, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

Hart was stopped for speeding and was found with drugs. He was charged with third-degree possession with intent to sell, fourth-degree possession and speeding.

BATAVIA —— William A. Nichols, 27, of Holley faces charges after an investigation into an assault March 10, state police said.

Nichols was charged with second-degree assault with a weapon, second-degree menacing with a weapon, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief.

Nichols is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

BATAVIA — Shawn Peterkin, 43, of Rochester faces drugs charges after he was arrested for threatening a person with a knife earlier this month, city police said.

Police were called to a house on West Main Street March 1. The suspect had left the house but was found a short time later in a backyard off Woodrow Road, where he allegedly damaged a fence.

Peterkin was found with crack cocaine, fentanyl, prescription drugs and marijuana.

He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree possession, menacing, criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana.

BATAVIA — Two people faces charges after a report of shoplifting at Walmart March 3, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

Angeline E. Escudero, 28, and Erin M. Rutoskey, 34, of Columbia Avenue were charged with felony grand larceny, criminal mischief and conspiracy for stealing more than $1,000 worth of items and damaging store property.

They are to appear April 8 in Town Court.

PEMBROKE — Christopher L. Taylor, 31, of Buffalo was charged with third-degree grand larceny for stealing from a building in January, state police said.

He is to appear at a later date in Town Court.

BATAVIA — Anthony D. Micucci, 26, of Middleport was charged with three counts of third-degree rape and aggravated harassment, state police said.

He is accused of having a sexual relationship with a person under 17.

BERGEN — A Batavia man faces numerous charges after he was stopped and found to be high on drugs and then later escaped police custody, state police said.

Alexander L. Waide, 26, was stopped at 11:13 a.m. Friday and charged with driving while impaired by drugs, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He later was charged with third-degree escape and resisting arrest.

STAFFORD — Anne M. Hutchinson, 34, and Anthony J. Hutchinson, 42, of Stafford were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, state police said.

They are to appear at a later date in Town Court.
