BATAVIA — Zachary J. Chittenden, 34, of Pembroke was charged with DWI after he was stopped at 2:38 a.m. Sunday on Hartshorn Road, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.

He also was charged with no plate lamps and is to appear Dec. 9 in Town Court.

BATAVIA — City police charged the following people in recent weeks:

n Philip M. Escobat, 32, of Kirvin, Texas was charged on a warrant with failure to appear in court.

n Mark B. Havens, 59, of Batavia was charged with third-degree assault, felony criminal mischief and grand larceny. He allegedly hit a woman and stole her purse and damaged her computer.

n Jason L. Johnson, 39, of Batavia was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was allegedly found with crack cocaine during an investigation into a fight at an East Main Street business.

n Jaequele M. Tomlin, 26, of Batavia was charged with felony criminal mischief for allegedly damaging property on Watson Street.

n Eric A. Spikes, 44, of Batavia was charged on a warrant with second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree burglary, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. He allegedly attacked a person in front of children.

n Paul A. Inostroza, 30, of Batavia was charged with reckless endangerment, attempted second-degree assault, harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing.

n Erik Pokornowski, 30, of Byron was charged with DWI, failure to stop at a stop sign and moving from a lane unsafely.

n Gilberto N. Natal, 33, of Batavia was charged with harassment for grabbing a person and throwing the person to the ground.
