SHELDON — A Level 3 sex offender from Erie County is now facing burglary and theft charges in connection with an incident three months ago, Wyoming County sheriff’s investigators said.
Ryan P. Donnelly, 36, of Wales entered a barn unlawfully and damaged an all-terrain vehicle, said Investigator Bradley McGinnis. He then allegedly stole a second ATV valued at more than $3,000.
A search warrant was executed Tuesday at Donnelly’s residence, investigators said. The ATV was allegedly recovered there.
Donnelly also has an open felony case from an incident which occurred this past May in Freedom, Cattaraugus County, investigators said. The nature of the charges was not immediately known.
Donnelly was released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in Sheldon Town Court at a later date.
Donnelly was convicted in 2005 of having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Iowa. He served two years in prison.
