Charges filed in Orangeville standoff

EAGLE — A town man was jailed last Friday after allegedly injuring two Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies in a domestic dispute.

Ryan J. Priel, 38, had a knife and fought with deputies at the scene, deputies said. He was taken into custody but two deputies were allegedly injured.

Priel was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree menacing. He was committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

State police, Arcade police and state DEC police assisted at the scene.
