ALEXANDER - A Medina woman was charged with failure to feed more than a dozen farm animals on her late parents’ farm on Chaddock Road, including two that died of starvation.
The Lollypop Farm Humane Law Enforcement charged Jennifer Bissing, 35, with two counts of failure to provide sustenance. Humane officers said a welfare check was conducted at the farm after a complaint was filed.
Officers found 15 goats and sheep without food or water. A sheep and calf were dead and a necropsy done at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine concluded that both died of starvation.
The remaining animals were treated and have been given to new owners.
Bissing is to appear at a later date in Town Court.
Bissing’s mother died in 2011. Her father died Feb. 1.
