Woman charged in stabbing

BATAVIA — A city woman charged at least six times with violating an order of protection last year was charged with stabbing a person in the neck during an argument, city police said.

Rae C. Cook, 32, was charged with felony second-degree assault and felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after an investigation into the Oct. 2 incident on Fisher Park.

Cook was arraigned and committed to jail with bail set at $5,000.

Cook has an extensive criminal history, including six arrests for violating orders of protection in 2020 and more than 20 arrests on various, mostly misdemeanor crimes since 2012.
