BATAVIA — An upcoming virtual seminar will discuss African Swine Fever and its potential impact on New York pig farms.

Dr. Eireann Collins of the state Department of Agriculture and Markets will be covering the symptoms of ASF and what would happen if the disease reached the U.S.

The evening is described as a short presentation with ample time for questions and answers, organizers said in a news release.

The educational meeting is supported by the state Department of Agriculture and Markets, the Cornell Cooperative Extension Livestock Program Work Team, and the New York Pork Producers Cooperative.
