The Genesee County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 49th Annual Awards Ceremony & the 2020 Award Recipients. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the celebrate will look different this year.

The event was recorded at Terry Hills Banquet Facility so we were able to celebrate our winners with you virtually. It was very important to the Chamber to continue to honor Businesses & Geneseeans in 2020.

We hope you enjoy this presentation! Thank you to Paul Figlow of Figlow Productions for his awesome video work on this project and to Kelly Bermingham at The Chamber for coordinating this effort.

During the premiere the Chamber is hosting an online watch party and the video's chat feature will be enabled.

"We still wanted a community feel for this event so we thought it would be nice to watch this live premiere together," the Chamber said this week.

The Chamber's traditional dinner was canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Awards were instead presented individually during a private event that was recorded at Terry Hills Banquet Facility.

The awards honor businesses and individuals for their achievements in business, community service and volunteerism. This is the 49th year that the Chamber honored businesses and individuals.

"It was very important to the Chamber to continue to honor Businesses & Geneseeans in 2020," the Chamber said.

Awards recipients are:

• Business of the Year: Pellegrino Auto Sales of Batavia;

• Agricultural Business of the Year: L&M Specialty Fabrication, LLC of Batavia;

• Special Service Recognition of the Year: Rochester Regional Health/United Memorial Medical Center of Batavia; and

• Geneseean of the Year: Tammy Hathaway, c/o the United Way of Genesee County in Batavia.

Each of the award recipients received a bag of swag from sponsoring "Chamber Champions." The bags include hats, water bottles, chocolates, beer and champagne.

This week Chamber officials also delivered framed news stories from The Daily News to the 2020 award winners. The stories appeared in the newspapers annual Business Outlook section.

Paul Figlow of Figlow Productions recorded, edited and completed the video for the Chamber. Kelly Bermingham, the Chamber's director of member services and special events, coordinated the effort.
