GENESEO – Rochester Regional Health’s new medical center at the intersection of Volunteer and Lakeville roads opened Monday in Geneseo.
The health care network envisions the center, 4302 Gateway Drive, as a one-stop shop offering nearly a dozen new and existing specialty medical services.
“We’re proud to play a larger role in serving Geneseo and the surrounding communities, creating a more convenient pathway for residents in the Southern Tier to access medical care all under one roof,” said Dr. Eric Bieber, RRH’s president and CEO. “By integrating primary and specialty practices in one location, patients will receive purpose-built health care where and when they need it.”
The following services became available at the new center effective Oct. 4:
n General surgery
n Pain management
n Vascular surgery
Other previously existing services in the area that will now operate out of RRH’s new medical center include:
n Primary Care
According to RRH, the outpatient setting is where patients receive the majority of their health care services. Previously, many rural patients faced long drives to find care, but that’s now starting to change thanks to evolving delivery channels including destination medical centers, like RRH’s new one in Geneseo.
“What this means to patients is easy, local access to both high quality primary care and top specialists,” said Dr. Bridgette Wiefling, RRH’s executive vice president and chief physician enterprise officer. “It’s our one-stop answer to bringing the best of care close to home for all of our patients.”
