Ann Scott, of Le Roy, N.Y., passed away with her children at her side Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, in Wellsville, N.Y., following a brief illness and a courageous 40 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Ann was born March 6, 1955, to the late Vincent and Mary Jane Darby. She was a 1973 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia. She was employed at Heritage Manor of LeRoy, most recently as a secretary.
Ann’s greatest joy were her children, she called them the greatest things she had ever done with her life. She is survived by her son, Brian Scott of Paonia, Colo.; daughter, Lindsay (Brandon Merkle) Scott of East Bethany; and son, Aaron (Katherine Proterra) Scott of Denver, Colo. In addition to her children, she is survived by her siblings, Tom (Betsy) Darby, Joe (Lila) Darby, Paul Darby, Mike Darby, Mary Gill, John Darby and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Patty (Bob) Clow.
Ann chose to donate her body to the University at Buffalo’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. At her request, no services will be held. As a great lover of sweets, Ann asked that everyone enjoy their favorite dessert in her memory. Donations in Ann’s name may be made to the National MS Foundation.
