Anthony C. Privitera, 92, of Dorrance Township, Pa. passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family.
Tony was born in Batavia on Dec. 2, 1927. He was the last living of six children born to the late Frank and Lucy Privitera. He was born and educated in Le Roy. In 1945, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served until he was injured in 1946. After an honorable discharge, he worked as a carpenter in Rochester.
In his early years, he enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and hunting. He also like watching horse racing on TV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara A. (Eppolito) Privitera in 2006; daughter, MaryAnn Carmichael; and son, Frank Privitera.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Barbara (Charlie) Maloy of Caledonia, NY and Judy (Mark) Stout of Batavia; son-in-law, Jamie Carmichael, Dorrance Township, Pa.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, including Trevor (Mandi) Carmichael and their children, Maddie and Katie Carmichael, with whom he resided.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time. He will be buried with his wife in Hill Crest Cemetery, Conway, S.C.
