Clayton Shaw


Clayton Shaw, 90, of Rush, N.Y., formerly of Attica, was born July 30, 1930 to the late Bernard and Ruth Hale Shaw.

Clayton was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He was part owner/operator of Gephart and Shaw Feed Business in Alexander, N.Y., and retired from Markin Tubing in Wyoming N.Y. He served as Deacon of the Attica Center Baptist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge -462 and both Fraternal Orders of Amaranth & Eastern Star in Attica. He was past commander of the Attica American Legion Post -734.

He was predeceased by his brother, Newton Shaw; sisters-in-law, Ruth Shaw and Mary Shaw.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Berry of Kerrville, Texas, Martha (Mike) Lambert of Attica; two sons, Mark (Dawn) Shaw of Attica, and Michael (Amy) Shaw of Alexander; eight grandchildren Wendy Christopher, Bradley Humphrey, Jamie Harloff, Jessica Berggren, Jason Harloff, Amanda Shaw, Jackie Wheeler, and Justin Shaw, several great grandchildren; and a brother Don Shaw of Alexander.
