Donald Michael Hilbert passed away peacefully on the morning of Aug. 29, 2020, after a Hospice stay at the home of his brother, Steven. He was 68 years old.

After attending Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, “Mike” enjoyed a long career in the restaurant hospitality business as a manager for various companies. He was an avid fly fisherman who enjoyed the sport along with his brother, Steven.

Michael is survived by a daughter, Hennesey Kryston of Easley, S.C.; his mother, Beverley Reda of Ft. Inn, S.C.; his father, Donald (Elizabeth) Hilbert of Batavia, N.Y.; and his brother, Steven (Brenda) Hilbert of Mauldin, S.C. He also is survived by his half-brother, Christopher (Wendy) Hilbert, and half-sister, Kimberly (Gardner) Holzhauser; along with nieces and nephews.

He will be interred in Elmwood Cemetery in Batavia, N.Y., next to his maternal grandfather, Ralph(Ted) Snell.0
