Fred A. Ikeler

Fred A. Ikeler, formerly of Bliss, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw at the age of 86.

He was born April 26, 1935 in Warsaw, N.Y. a son of the late Frank and Florence (Hale) Ikeler. He was a member of the Bliss Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge in Pike. Prior to Pike, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Eagle Valley.

He was a life long dairy farmer and owned and operated his own farm in Bliss, N.Y.

His wife, Wilma G. (Cole) Ikeler whom he married on April 24, 1954 in Warsaw, passed away on Oct. 31, 2009.

He is survived by his children: Robin F. Ikeler of Bliss, Craig (Debbie) Ikeler of Gainesville, N.Y., Mark (Stephanie) Ikeler of Gainesville, N.Y., Debra (late Douglas) Nelson of Bliss, Suzanne (James) Anderson of Bliss, Michelle (Gerard) Kaczmarek of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Alexia (James) Kovach of Dover, Del.; his sister, Barbara (late Carl) Stoffer of Gainesville; 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; also survived by several nieces and nephews and close family friend, Dave Summerton of Oakfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; his children: Kevin Ikeler who passed in 1955, Karen Ikeler who passed in 1961, and Michael Ikeler who passed in 1990; his siblings: Frank Ikeler, Dan Ikeler, David Ikeler, and Viola Henry.

There will be no prior visitation. A Graveside Service will take place Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Smith Corners Cemetery in Wethersfield, N.Y.
