James L. Werth, age 72, passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at his home.
Jim was born on Nov. 20, 1948, a son of the late Wilber W. and Katherine I. Ruck Werth.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Dawn M. Betties Werth; his sister, Kay Burger; children, Greg (Amy) Werth Freeman, Steven (Trisha) Werth, Dawn (Mike) Stoll, Lance (Michelle) Werth, Jim (Brianne) Emery, Jenn (John) Cascell and Michael (Brian) Betties; thirteen grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Tony, Miah, Mason, Austin, Brady, Colton, Michael, Brittny, Ryan, Ellie and Jamison; his nephew, Brandon (Liz) Burger; special aunts, Mary, Rosalie and Elaine; along with several cousins and lifelong friends.
Jim was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Raymond Burger; and nephew, Justin Burger.
Jim loved everything outdoors including farming and hunting. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He had a huge love for animals, especially his dogs.
Friends may attend visiting hours on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services will immediately follow visitation.
