John Timothy Campbell, 63, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Aug. 19, 2020 at the home of his best friend Debbie Roachal.

He was born on Dec. 23, 1956 in Warsaw, NY. He was the son of the late John F. and Madeline Campbell and grew up on the family farm on Rt. 78 near Java Lake. He also lived in Gainesville, Castile, Attica and Batavia before moving to Dallas, Texas when he retired.

He graduated from Letchworth Central School and Alfred State College. He began work at Letchworth State Park and then worked 36 years as a corrections officer at Attica State Prison. He loved his cats and dogs.

His beloved wife, Hao Nguyen Campell, passed away on Nov. 21, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

Tim, Rocky, or John, as he was known through the years, is survived by two stepsons, Bo (Suong Vo); two step-grandsons of Dallas, Texas and Tom Nguyen working in China; two sisters, Karen (late J. Robert) Sherman of Derry, NH and Denise (Ronald) Ballinger of Castile; two nephews, Kevin (Theresa) Sherman of Derry, NH and Thomas (Kristie) Ballinger of Leicester; a niece, Sarah Ballinger of Castile; and many cousins.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Springs.
