A 1967 graduate of Bradford (Pa.) High School she is predeceased by father Robert, mother Mary Lee and sister Jan. She is also survived by sister Kathy Nichols, great niece Melissa, great nephew Wyatt, in-laws Dick and Cindy Robinson, Kevin and Susan Dowd and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was a spirited and funny waitress of over 20 years at The Creekside Inn in Le Roy and The Hub in Batavia and then later as an office manager at Genesee Plumbing & Heating.
She will be remembered for her love of word games, her strong spirit and her witty, sarcastic sense of humor. More than anything though she will be remembered for her undying love for Mark and the rest of her family.
Karen has donated her body to the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. There will be no calling hours or official services. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations can be made in Karen’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
