Vera Grace Snyder Adair (Myers), 87, of Buckeye, Ariz,, died at 1:55 p.m, Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Banner Thunderbird Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., from COVID complications. Vera, known by many as “V”, was born Jan. 23, 1934, in Attica, N.Y., to Merrill and Oma Myers. She married Robert Adair in Lake Havasu City, in 1985. Robert preceded Vera’s death on July 12, 2020, in Corvallis, Mont. Vera was previously married to Albert Virgil Snyder Jr. from 1952 to 1981.
Her death is also preceded by her parents; sister, Marilyn Burford, sister, Gloria Burnell; brother, Merrill “Buddy” Myers Jr.; and grandson, Adam Lee Snyder. Vera’s living relatives include brother, Glenn Myers of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; sisters, Patricia Marble of Dalton, N.Y., and Virginia Robbins of Alexander, N.Y.; Vera’s children, Dean Evan Snyder of Bemus Point, N.Y., Cynthia Ann Snyder of Buckeye, Ariz., Albert Virgil Snyder III of Carlsbad, Calif., and Scot Adam Snyder of Traverse City, Mich. Vera has 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Vera graduated high school from Alexander Central High School, Alexander, N.Y., in 1951. Vera spent many of her working years in the medical administrative profession. Because of her husband’s career, she lived in various places: Jamestown, N.Y.; Southern California; Las Vegas, Nev., and Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Vera was also the Past-President of the Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Lioness Club. Vera was a very devout Christian. We know she is now living with the Lord in his Kingdom.
There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial will be later at the convenience of the family.
