A great deed has been done by two of Attica’s finest — something that will be enjoyed for decades to come. If you haven’t been down Maplewood Road in the towns of Attica and Alexander lately, you are in for a real nature lover’s treat.

John Goodridge and Bob Perry have transformed the road back to what I remember as a preteen and teenager as the most picturesque road in the area.

They have planted and maintained approximately 150 maple trees. Rather than ruining the countryside with mechanical eyesores, they have realized something beautiful.

If you see John or Bob, give them a pat on the back for such an amazing accomplishment.
