KNOWLESVILLE — After a year’s absence, the Orleans County Chamber’s Home Show is back, with a new name and new features.

This year’s show on April 8 and 9 at the Orleans County 4-H Fairgrounds is called the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce Home, Garden and Outdoor Show, and will feature a wider variety of vendors.

From home improvement, finances and landscaping to health, recreation and antiques, this year’s home show has something for everyone.

“The Chamber’s main goal is to help promote business in Orleans County, and what better way than to host an event like this,” said Chamber director Rebecca Charland. “The OCCC Home, Garden and Outdoor Show brings local businesses together to give them the opportunity to shine and promote themselves to the community.”

This year, the Chamber is bringing organizations such as the local Elks, Lions and Rotary clubs together to help make the weekend event a community experience, Charland said.

“The Chamber’s motto is ‘Together We Achieve More,’ and we will see this firsthand April 8 and 9,” Charland said.

On Saturday, the Albion Elks will sponsor a chicken barbecue from noon until sold out.

Also on Saturday, deputy Jeff Cole will give a demonstration with his new K-9 dog, Otto, at 1 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand Sunday for an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at noon, sponsored by Albion Rotary. Children will be divided into age groups to search for eggs containing prizes.

A major feature of the home show is the raffle of a fire pit. Tickets will be on sale during both days of the show, and the drawing will take place just prior to closing on Sunday.

A few vendor spaces are still available and may be reserved by calling (585) 301-8464.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $1.
