Here are the top performances from Week 8 in high school football:

John Panepento (Le Roy) — Senior QB helped lead the Oatkan Knights to a 14-7 win over Penn Yan as he went 10-of-14 passing for 177 yards and a score, while he added a rushing score.

Robbie Newmark (Le Roy) — Led the way on the receiving end with seven grabs for 121 yards — including a 65-yard TD reception — with a pair of extra points as the Knights finished the regular season at 7-1.

Brock Flint (Le Roy) — Continued to get it done at the running back position with 28 carries for 166 yards in a regular season-ending win over Penn Yan.

Jimmy Fanara (Notre Dame) — Finished the day 9-of-14 for 126 yards and four touchdown passes as the Fighting Irish whipped Clyde-Savannah to cap the regular season with a pair of wins.

Drew Edwards (Notre Dame) — Led the Fighting Irish ground game with 15 carries for 114 yards and two scores, while he also finished with six tackles on the defensive end in the shutout.

Connor McWilliams (Notre Dame) — Paced a strong Fighting Irish defensive effort with seven tackles, two fumble recoveries and a sack in the easy win over Clyde-Savannah.

Bodie Hyde (Oakfield-Alabama/Elba) — Sophomore QB did it all as he finished with 112 yards rushing and two TDs, a 68-yard touchdown pass and 10 tackles on the defensive end in a win over Geneseo/Mt. Morris.

Gaige Armbrewster (Oakfield-Alabama/Elba) — Running back only carried eight times but for 155 yards and two touchdowns as the Aggies finished the regular season at 8-0.

CJ Gottler (Oakfield-Alabama/Elba) — Was absolutely outstanding on defensive for the Aggies with 13 tackles — four for a loss — and a sack in a blowout win over Geneseo/Mt. Morris/.

Kameron Cusmano (Oakfield-Alabama/Elba) — Played a little QB in the rout and was 3-of-5 for 65 yards, while he also added 39 yards and a score on the ground. On defense he added nine tackles.

Ryan Whitney (Geneseo/Mt. Morris) — Led the Blue Devils in the loss to OAE with 57 yards on the ground, while he also threw for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Andrew Rowland (Avon) — Finished the day with four total touchdowns in a win over Bolivar-Richburg. Rowland was 11-of-21 through the air for 177 yards and two scores to go with 71 yards on the ground and two more TDs.

Thomas Welch (Avon) — Had another strong game on the ground with 136 yards and two TDs on 24 carries, while he finished with 4.5 tackles on the defensive end in a win over B-R.

Jesse Reinhart (Batavia) — Reinhart led the Blue Devils in an easy win over Wilson as he finished with two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, and went 5-of-6 passing for 53 yards.

Cam McClinic/Aidan Anderson (Batavia) — Split the running back duties in the easy win over Wilson and combined for 14 carries for 95 yards and three touchdowns as the Blue Devils finished the regular season at 7-1.

Kaden Marucci (Batavia) — Senior linebacker led the Blue Devils on the defensive end as he finished with eight tackles in a blowout win over Wilson to cap the regular season.

Nick Kramer (Alexander) — Senior QB led the Trojans to a tough win over Cal-Mum/BB as he ran for 77 yards and a score on 11 carries, threw for 25 yards and led the defense with eight total tackles.

Alexander Defense — Led by Ricky Townley (five tackles, his fifth interception of the season), Jake Laney (five tackles) and Kramer, the Trojans recorded their fifth shutout of the season on Friday night.

Nick Thompson (LetSaw/Perry) — Kicked a game-winning 41-yard field goal with just two seconds to play and was a perfect 3-of-3 on extra points in a big win over Livonia. Also finished with 76 yards receiving.

Chris Shearing (LetSaw/Perry) — Threw for 101 yards and also ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns in a narrow win over Livonia. Shearing added eight tackles and an interception in the 24-21 win.

Bailey Schell (LetSaw/Perry) — Led the defense with nine total tackles, while he ran for 65 yards and a touchdown in a win over Livonia.

Jake Watkins (Livonia) — Paced the Bulldogs’ defense with eight tackles with a pair of interceptions and also ran for 54 yards in a loss to LetSaw/Livonia.

Tyson Totten (Pembroke) — Had 12 carries for 102 yards and two catches for 69 yards and a touchdown for the Dragons; also added six tackles — one for a loss — and a forced fumble in a loss to Frewsburg

Cayden Pfalzer (Pembroke) — Finished 6-of-12 passing for 138 yards and three TDs and added six tackles on defense in a loss to Frewsburg.

Jacob Dulski (Pembroke) — Had a huge day defensively with 21 total tackles, a fumble recovery and a 52-yard kickoff return for a score in the loss for the Dragons.

Collin Mehlenbacher (Dansville/Way-Co) — Led a big ground attack with 106 yards and two TDs on just five carries, while he added a 75-yard punt return for a score in a narrow win over Midlakes.

Ben Teed (Dansville/Way-Co) — Finished the day with 90 yards on the ground and two TD and 10 tackles in a 42-40 win over Midlakes.

Evan Pruonto (Dansville/Way-Co) — Ran for 42 yards, had a 42-yard touchdown reception and chipped in with six tackles on the defensive end in the win for DWC.

Keian McRae (Bath) — Ran 13 times for 160 yards and a touchdown, with pair of two-point conversion runs, while he also caught two passes for 35 yards in an easy win over Mynderse.

AJ Brotz (Bath) — Finished with an interception, a pass defended and a 70-yard punt return for a score, while he also ran three times for 14 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Rams routed Mynderse.
